Our Story: From City Life to a 200-Year-Old House in the Bulgarian Mountains

We are Nadya and Masha — sisters in spirit and in the way we see life.

About a year ago, we left our familiar city life and a sunny country behind to take a step into the unknown. That step brought us to a 200-year-old house in a quiet mountain valley in the Balkans, near Gabrovo.

We found the house almost by accident — and fell in love immediately.
The decision took a day. The move took a few months.
Now, looking back, we’re still surprised at how everything came together.
It feels as if the place had been waiting for us.

But this path didn’t begin there.

It had been unfolding for years — through personal кризises, searching, changing professions, bodywork practices, travel, and working closely with people, land, and ourselves. At some point, we both realized that we no longer wanted to live in constant pursuit of achievement.

We wanted something slower. Quieter. More real.

And we dreamed of creating a space where this way of being could not only be experienced — but taken home.

Over time, the house became more than just a place to live.
It became a space for connection.

This is how our retreats were born — not as a structured “program”, but as a natural extension of how we live.

We welcome guests, cook, gather herbs, sit by the fire, spend time in silence, and laugh a lot. And we see how people begin to soften here — to exhale, to return to their bodies, to themselves, and to something simple and essential.

This house is special not just because it is old or beautiful.

But because it is built on choice, trust, and a long journey — and it continues to evolve, together with everyone who comes here.
